Welcome, Pat & Valerie!
Dear Drakesbad Guests,
First let me thank you for your continued patronage at Drakesbad Guest Ranch... we are truly fortunate to have operated this glorious and special place for over 35 years. As most of you know, 21 of those years Pam and I have had the great pleasure of having Ed and Billie Fiebiger as our Drakesbad managers. Their love and stewardship of this property is well heralded. We will miss them beyond words but with every sunset comes another dawn and our diligence in finding their successors has proven very successful.
At the start of our search for a new management team we said we would not settle, but rather continue interviewing until we had found the right people and I am proud and pleased to announce that we have selected a marvelous couple, Pat and Valerie Flack, as our new managers. They have the same deep seated commitment to outrageous customer service as you have been accustomed to from Ed and Billie over the years. Although change is difficult they have told us that they will, in every way, try to emulate both the management style and substance of the Fiebigers. We believe Pat and Valerie will impress you as they us on your next visit to Drakesbad. During this first year, Ed and Billie will be hands-on at various times during the summer to assist the Flacks in the management transition. Thank you for your continued support.
We look forward to seeing you next season,
John Koeberer
CEO, The California Parks Company
A big THANK YOU to all our guests for a wonderful season. Drakesbad is now closed for 2011. We'll reopen (weather permitting) on June 8, 2012, and close on Oct 8, 2012. We hope to see you next summer!
Drakesbad is a secluded getaway nestled within the boundaries of Lassen Volcanic National Park. The Park is located in one of the most scenic mountain valleys in Northern California.
Our guests enjoy communing with nature in the fresh mountain air. They spend the days horseback riding, hiking, swimming, fishing or just relaxing. Evening is the perfect time for a good book, fun games, or a quiet conversation around either our outdoor campfire or inside at the lodge fireplace. See Drakesbad in action with this segment from "Volcano Roadtrip" by CBS San Francisco's Eye On The Bay. Or better yet, come see for yourself!
