Driving Directions

From San Francisco:

  1. Take I-80 East toward Vacaville.
  2. Take I-505 North to I-5 North towards Winters/Redding.
  3. Take Exit 649 to CA-36 East towards Central Red Bluff.
  4. Follow signs for Lassen Nat'l Park/Susanville.
  5. After about 65 miles, you will enter the town of Chester.
  6. Continue through Chester on CA-36 and turn Left onto Feather River Drive (across from the Pizza Factory).
  7. Follow signs to Drakesbad.

From Sacramento:

  1. Take I-5 North towards Winters/Redding.

  4. Continue through Chester on CA-36 and turn RIGHT onto Feather River Drive (across from the Pizza Factory).
  5. Follow signs to Drakesbad.

Fly to Drakesbad

If you’re a pilot, the nearby town of Chester offers an excellent airport for small aircraft. Chester-Rogers Airport is located on the northwestern shore of Lake Almanor (next to the town of Chester and about 17 miles south of Drakesbad Guest Ranch).
